Spicy Hummus |
Ingredients
2 cans chickpeas washed and drained
1 clove garlic
2-3 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Tahini
paste
4 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp red chillie powder
Directions
Blend chick peas, garlic and tahini paste in the blender
with a little water. Add salt and lemon juice as per taste. Remove in a serving
bowl. In a small pan heat olive oil and add red chillie powder. Swirl the pan
and remove from heat. Pour the warm chillie oil over the hummus. Serve with
grilled meat and khabbus (Arabic bread). Hummus can also be used as a dip with
tortilla chips or cut up some carrot and celery sticks.
