Salmon Steak with Mushroom Sauce |
Ingredients
3 pieces Salmon steak
salt to taste
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ginger powder
flour to coat the fish
oil for frying
For the sauce
1 cup sliced button mushrooms
1 spring onion sliced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
½ tsp black pepper powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
salt to taste
Directions
Apply some salt, paprika, ginger
and garlic powder to the fish and keep for 20 minutes. In a frying pan heat
about a tablespoon olive oil. Take the pieces of the salmon steak and coat on
both sides with flour. Fry for about 4 minutes on both sides. Remove the fish
pieces on to a serving plate. In another pan heat butter and sauté the spring
onions, then add the mushrooms and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the flour and fry
till it turns a little brown. Then add a glass of water and stir quickly until all
the flour is well dissolved. Let the sauce thicken. Add garlic and pepper
powder and check seasoning. Pour the sauce over the salmon steaks.
