Hummus |
Ingredients
2 cans chickpeas washed and drained
1 clove garlic
2-3 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste
4 tbsp olive oil
2-3 tablespoons of water
Directions
Reserve a few chick peas for garnishing. Blend the
remaining chick peas, garlic and tahini paste in a blender with little water. Add
salt and lemon juice as per taste. Remove the paste in a serving bowl. Pour the
olive oil on top and garnish with whole chickpeas. Serve as an accompaniment with
grilled meat and khabbus (Arabic bread). Hummus can also be used as a dip with
tortilla chips or some carrot and celery sticks.
